Sicker Than Others Saving the Landfills, one Giant Plastic Toy At a Time

restricted

I’ve barred myself from the internet until November 5, and if you could see me now, stomach in knots with tears running down my face, you’d agree that although drastic, this measure is necessary.

People. I can’t imagine a world…I just…let me say this: the pictures in my head of what life will be like under republican rule for four more years horrify and disgust me. And every time I see a picture of Obama, or hear his voice, I cry. I cry for what we’ve been through. For what he represents. I worry myself to death praying that he’s not a cheater, or a drug addict, or a liar.

I want to throw buckets of horse shit in the faces of the conservative blowhards that I have to listen to every single effing day. I cant’ even do that “copy this sentence” meme on Livejournal because FUCK! Seriously! We really have to VOTE on whether people in love should be allowed to marry? Are you fucking kidding me.

I thought I’d be a force of change during this election. I had big plans to attend rallies and Women for Change meetings, to man phones and knock on doors. But I can barely keep myself from tearing the McCain stickers from my relatives’ vehicles. Instead of getting out there to change things, I’ve retreated to my house, hiding under the covers and swearing at the TV and computer all day.

So I’m grounding myself from news, from political blogs, and from any conversation with my ill-informed conservative friends and family.

WHEN WE WIN on Tuesday, I’ll come out to play again.

  1. Please oh please, know you are not alone. Every detail of what you have written I completely understand.
I love you. And I am praying fiercely as well…but not to a god.

    cheers,
    Karla
